About Rotary’s Amazing Race

An amazing time was certainly had by all at the Rotary’s Amazing Race 2016. Dressed in a variety of great costumes from some of TV’s best shows, participating teams challenged their minds, bodies and spirits in a fun-filled race around the Tri-Cities.

Throughout the day participants performed 35 tasks in their quest to win the race, including: playing volleyball in the Town Centre Park, packing food hampers at the SHARE Food Bank, singing on stage at the Giggle Dam Theatre, French-braiding hair at Hair We Are Salon, creating Halloween Costumes at Value Village, performing martial arts moves at Excel Martial Arts, and bowling at the Port Coquitlam Bowl – just to name a few!

A tasty dinner provide by Pasta Polo was enjoyed by all following the race and a host of great prizes were given out. This wonderful day of fun helped the Coquitlam Sunrise Rotary raise over $10,000 for the Starfish Backpack Program. http://starfishpack.com/

  • How does the day unfold?

    Teams arrive and check-in between 8:30am and 9:00am

    The race starts at 9:30am

    A boxed lunch will be provided at one of the stops, to be eaten at your leisure.

    The race continues until all activities are completed (or you are called in by the officials).

    All teams will be called in by 5:00pm

    Dinner will be served at 6:00pm

    Between 4:00pm and 8:00pm alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase

    Prizes and draws will be awarded during the dinner.
